SimpleAI is a startup providing both Software as a Service (SaaS) and Bookkeeping as a Service (BAAS) solutions to simplify and automate bookkeeping tasks. The system uses AI to analyze documents like receipts and invoices, extracting essential details for streamlined bookkeeping.
Currently available for users in:
Singapore, Australia, the UK, Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa and Malaysia.

SimpleAI processes a variety of documents, including bills, expenses, credit notes, bank statements, contracts, and more. The AI system automtically identifies document types and extracts key details like supplier name, invoice number, invoice date, line-by-line items, amount, and currency.
SimpleAI offers three convenient upload methods:
- Bulk Upload via Laptop – Users can upload multiple documents directly from their laptop to the software for efficient processing.
- Email Upload – A unique SimpleAI email address is provided, allowing clients to send documents directly. Once files are sent to this email, they automatically upload to the system.
- Mobile Browser Upload – For clients who prefer using their phone, documents can be uploaded directly via a mobile browser, ideal for taking pictures instead of scanning.
You can upload multi-page PDFs or combined documents.
You can also use Smart Split to split documents directly inside the platform, no extra tools needed.
Currently, SimpleAI integrates with Xero and QuickBooks. Integration with other platforms like MYOB is currently under review.
SimpleAI automates data entry by extracting key information from documents and then classifying it based on a user’s existing accounting software setup, aligning the data to match current classification practices and improve accuracy.
The AI retrieves information from a user’s accounting software and learns from past transaction history. By analysing how transactions have been classified previously, the system adapts to recognise and apply specific account names accurately.
Yes, users can make modifications. There’s an option to modify line item descriptions and add new line items as needed. Any changes made in our software are remembered by the AI, which will attempt to replicate these adjustments for future uploads.
Yes, SimpleAI can read text entries in an email to create journal entries, provided the content and intent are clear. Customisation may require one or two days to ensure accurate processing.
